A representative is available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. How do I access the First Northern Bill Pay service? What FNCU account must I have to enroll in First Northern Bill Pay? How do I enroll in First Northern Bill Pay? How much does First Northern Bill Pay cost? What if I have questions or need help? Can I test First Northern Bill Pay before I enroll? How do I access the First Northern Bill Pay Service? To access the First Northern Bill Pay service, you must first sign into First Northern's free Online Banking, then click on the First Northern Bill Pay tab. If you are currently a First Northern Credit Union Online Banking user, click here to sign in now. If you are not currently a First Northern Credit Union Online Banking user, click here to sign up for free. What FNCU account must I have to enroll in First Northern Bill Pay? You must maintain a Checking account in good standing (not currently overdrawn). Bills can only be paid from a Checking account. You must also be enrolled in First Northern Credit Union's free Online Banking. How do I enroll in First Northern Bill Pay? When you sign in to First Northern Credit Union's Online Banking, simply click on the First Northern Bill Pay tab. All of your enrollment information appears automatically. You will be directed to an enrollment page where you must verify your information, enter your birth date, select a default payment account and agree to the Terms and Conditions. After you click on the Enroll button you will be sent to the Online Bill Pay Payment Center where you can begin paying bills. How much does First Northern Bill Pay Service cost? First Northern Bill Pay subscribers with either an Advantage or Preferred Checking account will receive free, unlimited bill pay transactions. First Northern Bill Pay subscribers with a Value Now Checking account will be given up to six (6) free Bill Pay transactions each calendar month. For each transaction over six (6) in a calendar month, the member will be assessed a fee of $0.75 per transaction. This fee will be taken out of the member's checking account. Are there other fees associated with First Northern Bill Pay? First Northern Bill Pay is like any other Checking account transaction. Members will be subject to regular NSF charges should they overdraw on their account. In addition, CheckFree, our Bill Pay provider, will also assess a charge of $22.00 per overdrawn transaction. What equipment, software, and/or connections do I need to pay bills? The following is a list of systems and browsers that are classified as "Certified" and "Supported" for Bill Pay. While the bill pay application functions properly with other browser and platform combinations, we recommend those listed below. Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 6.0 (Windows XP, Windows 2000, & Windows 98) AOL 9 (Windows XP) Mozilla Firefox 1.5 (Windows XP) (NEW) Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6 (Windows XP) Macintosh Safari 2.0 (OS X 10.4x) (NEW) Safari 1.3 (OS X 10.3x) Firefox 1.5 (OS X 10.3x) (NEW) Browser Options JavaScript must be enabled for the application to function properly. Screen Resolution 800 x 600 VGA or 1024 x 768 VGA Windows Display Properties Settings should be 96 dpi (Windows default) Browser text should be Medium Blocked Browsers The following browsers are programmatically blocked from use because the browsers affect the ability to successfully make a payment: Microsoft Windows: Compuserve (Win 98, Win 2000, XP) Macintosh: Microsoft IE 5.1.7 (OS X all 10.x) Is my account and payment information safe? Yes, First Northern Bill Pay uses SSL (secure sockets layer), which ensures that your connection and information are secure from outside inspection. The system also uses 128-bit encryption to make your information unreadable as it passes through the Internet. What if I have questions or need help? If you have questions or need help with using the system (setting up merchants, paying a bill, starting a payment investigation, etc.) after you are enrolled, call First Northern Bill Pay Member Service at 888-918-7645, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
